In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, one of Beijing’s most scenic Great Wall destinations is launching a special promotion for female travelers.
From March 8 to March 22, women from around the world can reserve free admission to both Simatai Great Wall and Gubei Water Town.
This marks the first time the Simatai Great Wall has offered a large-scale free-entry program specifically for women, creating a unique opportunity for visitors to explore the historic site and the surrounding resort area during the early spring travel season.
The 15-day promotion includes International Women’s Day itself and the following two weekends, giving travelers plenty of flexibility to plan a visit.

Free Tickets for Women at Simatai Great Wall & Gubei Water Town
The initiative allows female visitors of any nationality to enjoy complimentary entry to both attractions.
Normally, tickets for the Simatai Great Wall follow government-regulated pricing, while Gubei Water Town operates with market-based ticket prices. During the Women’s Day event, however, both destinations will waive entrance fees for women.
The offer reflects the resort’s broader effort to create inclusive travel experiences and encourage spring tourism in the region.
